Director, Systems Engineering

Job Summary

This is a hands-on, player/coach key position in the organization responsible for insuring that all application and material handling systems implementation automation engineering projects for the corporation are properly and profitably designed, installed, commissioned, and supported for our clients.

Job Duties

(Key requirements - not intended to be all-inclusive)

• Hands-on material handling engineering and project management leadership position focused on delivering personal and departmental systems engineering excellence
• Insure that material handling application, systems engineering, and implementation of automation projects are intimately/properly integrated with applicable electrical control and software systems, and are delivered on time, on budget and on schedule - profitably, at the highest quality, and with utmost customer satisfaction
• Participate in field installation and commissioning of automated systems as required to meet quality, fiscal and timeliness commitments
• Support consulting department automation application requirements as required, including accurate material, engineering and installation labor cost estimating of proposed automation systems implementations
• Coach, mentor, manage and develop the systems engineering and installation personnel
• Develop and maintain a highly qualified, cross-functional department of "A-players"
