Senior Electrical Controls Engineer
Job Summary
This is a key position in the organization responsible for the electrical control systems engineering and implementation requirements for automated material handling systems.
Job Duties
(Key requirements - not intended to be all-inclusive):
- Hands-on controls engineering and project management leadership position focused on delivering personal and departmental electrical controls systems excellence
- Insure that electrical control systems application, PLC programming, control panel fabrication and field wiring of electrical devices for material handling automation projects are technically and profitably integrated with all automated material handling and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) software
- Schedule, coordinate and insure as necessary that the field implementation and commissioning of the electrical control systems element of FORTE's systems meet/exceed established quality, fiscal and timeliness commitments. Must be willing to travel as required
- Write/program PLC code in the Siemens Step 7, 505 WorkShop and Allen-Bradley RSLogix software packages
- Work with our automated material handling systems design team to analyze and define system requirements
- Travel to customer site to implement, test and commission new and existing systems
- Conduct "train-the-trainer" and end user training
- Provide technical support for customer deployed systems
- Create end user Documentation
