FORTE Winner of Workforce Development Award

CONTINUIM System Strengthens Workforce

June 10, 2005 – FORTE received special recognition Wed. June 7 for its ongoing commitment to local workforce development. The Butler-Warren Workforce Investment Board presented the Investing In People Award to two area organizations, FORTE and Butler Technology and Career Development Schools.

Launched in 2004, the Investing in People Awards recognize area employers committed to workforce development. The awards are presented annually to public and private employers located in Butler or Warren County Ohio. One company is selected in each county.

FORTE, a fast-growing firm now in its 25th year of operation, credits much of its success to its commitment to continuous improvement. It has adapted its four-phase business system, CONTINUIM, which it applies to its customer projects, to the professional development of its workforce. Throughout CONTINUIM, which stands for “continuous improvement”, FORTE’s employees collaborate with their managers to develop customized plans to optimize their personal development within the organization. These plans may include internal cross-training, outside training, mentoring and internships.

“FORTE has the best employees in the industry, and we’re committed to their continuous success. Applying our unique business model internally allows our people to plan, design, build and optimize their personal development,” says Gene Forte, president and founder of FORTE. “Our CONTINUIM efforts ensure continued growth opportunities for FORTE, our employees, our clients and the community.”

Accepting the award was Dave Kling, vice president of finance & operations improvement.
