Supply & Demand Chain Executive Recognizes FORTE Through 2006 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100

Leading Business Magazine Names FORTE an Innovative Supply and Demand Chain Vendor

July 18, 2006—-Supply & Demand Chain Executive Magazine this week announced FORTE, a distribution supply chain consulting engineering firm, was elected to the fifth-annual listing of the “Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100” in its June/July 2006 issue.

The Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 is an annual list of supply chain solution providers, consultants and other organizations that are leading the way in transforming companies' supply and demand chains. This year the magazine focused the criteria for its "100" feature on innovation.

Supply & Demand Chain Executive has identified FORTE as a leading provider of supply chain services and technologies who is at the forefront of innovation. "The corporate executives and line-of-business leaders who rely on the magazine want to know not only what the state of the art is today, but what will be the cutting edge of supply chain transformation and enablement tomorrow,” explained Andrew K. Reese, editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive.

FORTE has a history of innovation, accelerating the supply chain by empowering the distribution segment through providing best practices and technology. “FORTE embraces progress,” says Gene Forte, FORTE’s founder and CEO. “The judges recognized how we identify and implement proven and cutting-edge opportunities companies must adopt in order to be competitive and meet their goals.”

FORTE’s warehouse control system (WCS), Automation Director was the first standardized WCS to run on the common Microsoft Windows platform. The company is also advancing the industry through developing a new category of distribution software—a Distribution Intelligence System (DIS)—which turns hard data into working intelligence, enabling a thorough analysis and evaluation of a distribution operation.

Based on submissions from end users and solution providers, the judging committee compiled the list of leading supply and demand chain innovators. Final recipients are featured in the cover story of the June/July 2006 issue of Supply & Demand Chain Executive, as well as online at www.SDCExec.com.
