Its 25th Year of Business
November 18, 2005—-FORTE, a distribution consulting-engineering
firm specializing in automated material handling system design
and integration, celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Starting
as a one-man material handling equipment distributor, the company
has evolved to become a leader in the distribution arena, building
its staff with a variety of industry experts.
Gene Forte, president and CEO, founded FORTE in November of 1980.
In 1983 FORTE rose in prominence by designing and building the
world’s first personal computer distribution center specifically
for IBM PC. The company has been well-managed and recognized in
the decades since.
